PETER KRASKA Professor of Criminal Justice Studies at Eastern Kentucky University. Along with Victor Kappeler, authored the first academic study of the growth of SWAT teams in American policing. Kraska has also become a noted public commentator on the subject.
STAN GOFF Retired Army Special Forces Master Sergeant. Served with Delta Force, and was active in training the FBI's hostage rescue team, as well as domestic police department SWAT teams, including those from Houston and Los Angeles. Currently active as a political activist in North Carolina.
TONY BOUZA Former Minneapolis police chief, and former NYPD police commander in the Bronx. Helped expand the use of SWAT tactics by the Minneapolis police department. A self described proponent of "aggressive policing", Bouza is also highly critical of police abuse of force. Bouza is the author of several books on policing, including "Police Unbound."
FRANK MORALES Author and researcher who has written extensively for Covert Action Quarterly. An ordained Episcopal priest, Frank Morales was active in the NYS squatters movement in New York City, and has followed trends in militarized policing both in New York City and nationally.
STEVEN AFTERGOOD Senior researcher for the Federation of American Scientists. Heads the project on Government Secrecy at FAS. Aftergood has written and commented extensively on issues of government secrecy and national security.
